Gigante canopy shade seems to work alright. However it didn't stay up in windy conditions. The strap on the bag broke the second time we used the canopy. Hopefully this product will perform better as we become familiar with setting it up. Not sure what to do about strap on carrier bag. It was also delivered to the wrong address by Fed Ex. Their fault not yours but thought you would like to know
I’ve had this for 2 years so can give a good long term review. This is a great canopy. Get the extra 2 poles. I added the earth screws and we use it at lacrosse and soccer tournaments… I find it much easier than the erector set canopies.
I’m sitting here writing this from the beach on a day with an solid 12-14mph wind. No issues at all. Learn to set it up the easy way… fill the bags full, stretch-stretch-stretch to 4 corners and bury the bags, then go put your poles in. It should be tight enough that you question if you can get the posts up. You will be able to, and the tent will be taught. Walk the poles in so that they are vertical, try not to angle them in. They won’t bend if vertical. They can bend if angled in Again, get it taught. A flappy tent will come down in the wind in a matter of minutes.
I was so excited about getting my new Neso tent and I noticed that it started coming apart on my very first trip to the beach. I love the concept of the tent but it needs a little bit of work.
I rented a Shibumi and really annoyed how loud they are when the wind is blowing. I was set on finding something that was still easy to carry and fast to set up. I read about Neso tents so I made the dive in and ordered one of the gigante, and it didn’t disappoint. It was a little tricky at first to make sure filled the bags with enough weight and had enough room without intruding on anyone else’s space. But after that it was a breeze. The color I bought was such a beautiful blue. I am so happy and can’t wait for our next beach trip.
